Welcome to The TRIIBUNE, our way of staying transparent about our recent successes, challenges, what we’re building, and where we’re headed.

We’re deeply grateful for all of the support we’ve received to make this happen!

We’re also energized by recent collaborations, including work alongside United Nations, and we’re carrying this momentum forward with positivity and purpose.

We accomplished a lot this past month!

  • Welcomed an incredible group of new mentors: Haysam Fahmy, Carl Nassib, Vincent Sanchez-Gomez, Duygu Ozen, Kate Riorda, Brett Guidry, Matt Wells, and Christina Benson. All whom are already guiding our changemakers forward.

  • Partnered with 180 Degrees Consulting, a team of youth consultants offering pro bono strategy support to strengthen TRIIBE’s impact. This is bringing TRIIBE’s team above 30 members, an incredible achievement for Month 10!

  • Launched our new website to enhance usability and match our updated language.

  • Moved into a new office: a collaborative space where we host weekly hackathons.

  • Submitted 10 grant applications, with the goal of 50 by the end of September.

  • New member Stephanie Pacheco joined TRIIBE as Senior Editor, the 8th National Youth Poet Laureate, and the only young person in history to hold 4 consecutive Youth Poet Laureate titles.

  • New member Brinley Degwert joined TRIIBE as Senior Producer, the current youngest producer on Broadway, already with a Tony nomination under his belt.

  • Nawaf Alshaikhmubarak promoted from project manager to become TRIIBE’s Chief Operating Officer.

  • Featured on the iHeart Podcast (with another podcast feature from 5th Generation Leaders Who Care coming soon to Spotify!)

  • Published by ESG News outlining the Changemaker Summit success.

TRIIBE Team Comes Together!

TRIIBE recently secured an office space. This is a place where our team can join together and work collaboratively, driving one another forward and celebrate with shared meals.

We are grateful for this opportunity and encourage members to join us for our weekly hackathons on Sundays!

We Updated Our Core Documents Again!

Today, over 4,000 student-led nonprofits exist in the U.S., but nearly 80% fade within a year, often driven by college applications rather than long-term aspirations. Once in college, founders face a funding gap compared to high school, along with the disconnection of starting over in a new environment. With less than one percent of funding reaching youth-led organizations, sustaining progress becomes increasingly difficult, especially with looming financial pressures after graduation.

Updated Mission: To help established nonprofit founders scale through college, without burning out.

Updated Vision: A future where committed nonprofit directors are part of every graduating class.

College is a rare window of opportunity, a space before real-world pressures fully set in. That’s where TRIIBE comes in: three years of tailored support to cohorts of five established nonprofit founders each semester, addressing needs in food, water, shelter, health, education, or energy. We provide:

  • Funding: Three scaling grants ($5K sophomore year, $10K junior year, $25K senior year), curated grant leads, and donor visibility from website, podcast, and media features.

  • Mentorship: Two mentors each quarter, two dozen by graduation, matched for industry, passion, and strategic fit.

  • Community: Annual Changemaker Summit, annual retreat, and monthly sessions connecting founders with peers, alumni, and supporters.

Upcoming Events

This is about more than guidance.

It’s about building a bridge between those who have built at scale and those just getting started.

Future Goals

  • With over $30,000 raised already, we are fundraising $300,000 to fuel next year’s cohorts, host our following two bi-annual events, expand our mentorship program, and film both podcasts and documentaries highlighting each founder and TRIIBE as a whole. Reach out if you’d like to discuss larger sponsorships, see our budget, and details about the program.

  • We are launching a new podcast and production company with our Senior Producer, Brinley Degwert! This platform will elevate the voices of our founders spotlight stories of resilience, innovation, and community.

  • We hope for new applicants to join the team! At TRIIBE, you’re part of a community built on purpose, collaboration, and mutual support. Your contributions don’t just move projects forward, they help shape the future we are building together. In return, we are committed to supporting you as fully as you support us.

  • Know a rising sophomore nonprofit founder who should be part of TRIIBE? Share this application and give them access to funding, mentorship and the TRIIBE community!

Our team would like to express the immense gratitude we have for the support we’ve received from our mentors, members, and general audience!

The unwavering encouragement, mentorship, and generosity we’ve received fuels everything we do.

Real change cannot be made alone, it takes a TRIIBE.

Let’s build a stronger generation of youth-led nonprofits together. Whether by mentoring, contributing, or spreading the word, you play a vital role in the success of our young changemakers.

With gratitude,

The TRIIBE Team
